We had a wonderful week last week celebrating all things art!  The children participated in workshops with local artist Catherine.  They thoroughly enjoyed this session.  Drumadore also came to carry out some drumming workshops, this was a massive hit with all!!  A visit to the library topped off the week.  The children had time to curl up and explore some of their favourite topics as well as play some games and get creatives with Lego.

November:

Check out some of our fantastic work from November!  Science week was a great hit with the children.  We learned about energy and forces, paying particular attention to buoyancy.  The children worked in pairs to construct boats using only three sheets of paper.  We put the boats to the test, investigating firstly, if they would float and secondly to test which boat would hold the most cargo.  The winning boat stayed afloat whilst carrying 100 markers!!

Lots of activity this week for Active Week.  We've enjoyed dodgeball, hula hoops, basketball, rounders to name a few.  Well done to everyone for participating in Active Homework too! The children are particularly enjoying Mr. Cronin's challenges! 😬💪🏻

Active week was kicked off in style last week as Shane Walsh joined us for a meet and greet with the pupils.  We had a questions and answers session with him and Shane gave some great advice on healthy eating and staying active.  Shane also presented the winner of our poster competition (3rd-6th) with a signed Galway jersey!  Well done to Daragh Keane in fifth class.

The boys and girls in fourth class worked really hard on their posters and they were all fantastic.
