Junior infants had so much fun on their school tour!🐄🐷 They had the chance to pet the animals, 🐇play on the go carts, 🏎go on a tractor 🚜 , watch cows being milked and lastly (their favorite thing) play in the jungle gymnasium 🤣

We had our first teddy bears picnic🧺 🧸🥳 Junior Infants brought along their favorite teddy and we had a fabulous picnic in the park with loads of fun games🥳☀️
 

To celebrate the end of our Aistear theme ‘shopping’,  Ms O’Sullivans class and Ms Marrons class had an opportunity to be the shop keeper and the customer as they bought icecreams. 🍦🍨

The Icecreams came in very handy to cool us down after our busy morning up in the GAA🏃☀️🍦

Junior infants had a ball the last two Fridays as they got to go up to Bishopstown GAA club for a fun filled morning!⚽️🥳 thank you to everyone who came and helped!☀️

This months Aistear theme is the Farm. 🐄🐷 We are learning all about living, working and what animals are on a farm. 
Today the boys were building farms, milking parlors and tractors. Other boys were making cows in our art section, others were in our drama station acting like different farm animals and playing with farm puzzles.🧩

Yesterday Junior infants experimented with clay for the first time. They made fabulous pots (to stash all their mini Easter eggs in)🐣  and created wonderful designs on them. 
Today the boys had a chance to paint their pots bright spring colours. 🎨 🤩They’re are nearly all set to bring them on on Friday.  🥳

Junior infants are doing a fantastic job learning and  remembering their sight words!🤩🥳

We played sight word snap and matching game today to help revise them🤩

Junior infants made these fabulous Easter bunny’s during the week! 🐣🤩

We had a lovely day today planting cress seeds. We hope they will grow to be as tall and strong as the boys in junior infants🪴💪🏼. They will need to remind Ms Marron to water them each day .💧💧

We took advantage of the sunshine today and had golden time playing with chalk outside 🎨☀️. 

Junior infants did some excellent drawings!!😎 Our yard is fabulously designed now! 
The fine weather led some boys to chill and sunbathe in the sun☀️😎

Also a very happy Mother’s Day to all! we hope you enjoy the flowers the boys made this week🥰

Today junior infants were working hard on their Mother’s Day cards👩‍👦🤩

We are getting ready to celebrate our wonderful moms on Mother’s Day this Sunday.😉🥰

Today the boys had a ball playing musical statues In the halla🥳 some amazing moves were thrown🕺🏼.

Later in the day they played oral language games. 🤩

We had an exciting day today, the boys had been practicing their ‘Lá le Pádraig‘ song all week so we decided to preform it to Ms O’Sullivans junior infants class today. Ms O’Sullivans class then came into our classroom and preformed their brilliant poem and song.☘️😊

Aistear fun this week ☺️🥳🏘

The  boys absolutely love our movement breaks throughout the day! 🕺🏼🥳 At the moment they love Mario movement breaks. This helps them get ready and focus on the next lesson. 🏃🕺🏼

Junior infants have been practicing their writing a lot lately and have gotten very good at it!✍️📝

They love writing their diagraphs and words on their whiteboards.☺️ 

For the next few weeks the Aistear theme will be houses and homes. Today the boys were building houses and playing with play houses.🏡🏘

We’re getting into the St Patrick’s day spirit! ☘️🥳

There were wizards, superhero’s and animals in Junior infants today!!!

To celebrate world book day junior infants dressed up as there favorite characters!  🧙🦹‍♂️🦹🏿

Junior infants loved celebrating Pancake Tuesday in school today! 🥳🥞

This weeks Aistear theme is “the Arctic” ❄️☃️. 
The boys had to wrap up well to keep out the cold up. They loved learning about what life was like living in the Arctic.

The boys were all dressed up in their Christmas jumpers on Friday.  🎅🏻🎄 

Getting ready for Christmas… The boys were artists today as they were making their Christmas decorations.🎄🎨  Elfie the elf was keeping a close eye on them today as he is reporting back to Santa.🧝👀🎅🏻

This months Aistear theme is Santa’s workshop. 🎅🏻 The boys enjoyed different activities to help get into the Christmas spirit🎄😄.

Grúpa buí were on construction today and built Santa’s workshop.💪🏼

Grúpa gorm were Santa’s little elf’s working in Santa’s workshop, making, wrapping and sending out the toys!🎭🎁

Grúpa dearg were playing with playdoh 🎨 

Grúpa Glas were at the art station writing their letters to Santa and posting them in the postbox 📬🎄

We want to say a big thank you to múinteoir Lauryn who was with us for the last few months.🥳 Lauryn is an early childhood studies student from UCC who completed her final placement with Junior infants. Today was her last day with us, the boys and I will miss her terribly.

The boys had the important job decorating the tree yesterday 🎄🎄

We had a very special visitor who returned to our classroom yesterday! 🧝 Elfie the elf is here to stay all🎄. He was sent on a very important mission from Santa to keep an eye on Ms. Marron’s  Junior infant class and report back to Santa 🎅🏻 . 
He’s already after getting up to mischief!🧝

An exciting PE lesson today.. MTU came and played team challenges with Junior infants. The boys had a brilliant time! ⚽️🏃 we definitely have future athletes in our class. 🏆🥇

The boys enjoyed using their focail nua as they played bingo as Gaeilge! 🥳

We definitely have future scientists in our class after today! 🧑‍🔬The boys enjoyed loads of fun experiments to celebrate science week.🧪🔬

 We had a very exciting morning today.. 🎃🧑‍🔬Peter the pumpkin wasn’t feeling too great!🤢🤮

Using baking soda, fairy liquid and green food colouring we mixed it all together before adding in the vinegar. This made our pumpkin puke!!! 🤢 

A relaxing PE lesson yesterday.. Junior infants did PE inside this week as the weather wasn’t on our side. ⛈🌂 We decided to do Yoga and they were naturals at it!🧘
